Recognized leader in Canadian equity markets brings depth of experience to the firm

ATB Capital Markets is pleased to announce that Chris Maurer has been appointed Head of Equities and joins the ATB Capital Markets Executive Committee. He will be responsible for leading and growing our firm’s institutional equity sales, equity trading, and equity research businesses.

As a recognized thought leader in Canadian equity markets, Chris maintains a reputation for quality, consistency, and honesty across his long-standing relationships with institutional investors and corporate clients across North America and abroad.

Chris has over 20 years of experience in institutional equity sales and trading, most recently at a Canadian chartered bank for the last 11 years, where he was an Executive Director of Institutional Equity Sales and consistently recognized as a top performer in the industry. Prior to that, Chris was Vice President at a major global financial institution.

Chris is a graduate of the Haskayne Business School at the University of Calgary where he received his Bachelor of Commerce in Finance with distinction. Chris maintains a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) designation along with a Financial Management Advisor (FMA) designation.
