March 5, 2022 - Advising the spectrum of companies that fuel the new energy future.ATB Capital Markets is pleased to announce that Jeff Meunier has been appointed as the company's Managing Director, Energy & Energy Transition and Head of Technical and A&D. Jeff is responsible for overseeing the Technical Services division within ATB Capital Markets. His deep expertise is paramount to supporting the rapidly advancing energy and energy transition initiatives in Canada’s new energy sector. 

In his role as Managing Director of Energy and Energy Transition, Jeff provides extensive expertise in capital markets advisory across the energy spectrum. Supporting both our world-class producers and emerging alternative energy, Jeff's 23 years of investment banking and global oil & gas industry experience is well-suited to advising the spectrum of energy companies that are fueling Alberta's leadership role in the new energy future.

Prior to joining ATB, Jeff was the vice president, New Ventures at Parex Resources where he led his team in identifying and evaluating business development opportunities across the globe. Jeff has also held the position of  managing director at a Canadian Chartered Bank where he provided strategic and transaction advisory services to international oil & gas and midstream organizations. 

Jeff has also held various leadership and senior technical positions at a number of companies including Woodside Petroleum, Enerplus, McDaniel & Associates, and Marathon Oil. His experience spans sell and buy-side advisory and negotiations, equity research, operations and evaluation of conventional and unconventional reservoirs in Canada and globally. Jeff graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Jeff supports his community by serving as an executive on the board of directors for The Alex, a non-profit Community Health Centre that provides innovative, wrap-around health care, housing, social and wellness programs to Calgary’s most vulnerable citizens.
